Tis the Season

I LOVE the Season of Lent for so many reasons. Not only does it give me an opportunity to give up something that I truly rely on daily, but it also provides me  with an extra purpose to reflect and take stock.  This season really celebrates part of the purpose of my blog to dig deep and soul search.  My sacrifice this year bitter-sweetly (no pun intended).... is chocolate.  I know I know, it's so unoriginal and boring... but for me it's going to be a long hard road.
I LOVE that Lent forces us to fight our everyday urges in order to remember what is most important.

...A constant battle of these sacrifices...
...A Lenten Reflection...

Give up gloom——enjoy the beauty that is all around you.
Give up jealousy——pray for trust.
Give up gossiping——control your tongue.
Give up sin——turn to virtue.
Give up giving up——hang in there!
