I'll take the back...
It's been a tough week thus far and searching for something positive has been like trying to find a diamond in a desert. It happens. to all. of us.
Here's to ...stepping out of ruts, searching for something or someone better, and to truer answers.

The passed still speak
Sometimes it takes digging deep to find one positive in a sea of negatives. Thank goodness for other peoples perspectives when we become consumed by our own.

Homemade. Made Easy
Krusteaz Lemon Bars |
Since I haven't perfected baking, I couldn't resist picking up this little piece of heaven in a box.
It's been my treat for the week, and boy have I looked forward to it every day.

My First Spring Purchase
In honor of the upcoming warmer weather we are supposed to be getting next week, I felt the need to make my first spring purchase. :) I cannot wait to revive my nails and toenails with this fresh new color I found.

Winter's Treasures
I found this little treasure in a yard on my doggie stroll today. Proof... that some days you really have to look around and open your eyes to find something special. :)
I'm calling it my little RoseCone. It probably happens to a lot of pine cones when they start to decay but I've never seen one before and I just loved it!

The Art of Words
Growing up I loved to discover quotes. I had over sized posters of quotes that filled my walls with an escort of magazine pages that I tore out and slapped in frames.
There it was...My Wall of Motivation.
I remember lying in bed and always staring at my most respected collection of words. No matter how many times I read the assortment of these most careful selections, a different one would always speak to me each day.
There is something about these artful flows of expressions that just reaches me.
I'm in search of my old quote diary!

Rediscovery...
I love when I rediscover something that has gotten pushed to the back of my closet, accidentally forgotten about, or been tucked away for the next season. I have these pair of shoes that somehow always gets lost in my closet. I usually forget about them and end up always finding them again at the most arbitrary moments. For me, it's always like a rediscovery and I get so excited because I love them just as much as the day that I acquired them. It's been so long since I've had them, I can't even remember where I got them. They have traveled through my late high school years, through college, borrowed by friends and somehow still remain in great shape! At some point, I nicknamed them "My Happy Shoes" and don't really know why. Today, when I find/rediscover/wear them them it's like reuniting with an old friend and that put's the most simplest of smiles on my face.

It's been a very dreary week here and the rain just won't seem to stop. I haven't posted any day to day things this week but here is what I've really been loving this past week...
New book I picked up "From Jugoslavia to America"
MY UGGS! I've had these puppies since I was in college when my boyfriend, now husband, gave them to me as a Christmas gift one year. Lounging isn't the same w/out them!
Thanks to the groundhog's prediction...We are going to get a much needed EARLY Spring! So ready for sunny skies, planting flowers, and much more outdoor activities!
